Auch in Deutschland: Apps aus Apples AppStore werden teurer

Der teils saftige Preisaufschlag auf die neuen iPhone und Apple Watch Modelle gegenüber dem vergangenen Jahr hatte es schon ein Stück weit angedeutet, nun vollzieht Apple die Preisanhebungen auch im AppStore. So hat das Unternehmen angekündigt, dass die Preise für Apps in allen Ländern, in denen der Euro das Zahglungsmittel ist, ab dem 05. Oktober teurer werden. Grund ist der im Vergleich zum US-Dollar derzeit schwache Euro. Die neue Preistabelle hierfür steht bereits zum Download bereit. Apples Preisstruktur für den AppStore basiert auf einem sogenannten Tier-System, bei dem den Entwicklern verschiedene Preisstufen angeboten werden, die diese ihren Apps zuordnen. Die ab Anfang nächsten Monat geltenden Stufen bedeuten nun, dass sich die erste Stufe von € 0,99 auf € 1,19 verteuern wird. Es handelt sich dabei also nicht um Preiserhöhungen, die die Entwickler für ihre Apps veranlassen, sondern die durch die neue Tier-Struktur von Apple ausgelöst werden.

Außer in der Eurozone werden kommenden Monat Apps auch in Ägypten, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Polen, Südkorea, Schweden und Vietnam teurer.

Ja, das stimmt. Trotzdem haben wir gerade so ziemlich die Parität erreicht, bedeutet: 1$ = 1€!
Da erschließt es mir nicht wirklich, wieso das Top-iPhone in den USA 1.099,-$ kostet, bei uns aber 2.099,-€. Diese 1.000 € Aufschlag sind mit keier Währungsumrechnung zu begründen! Auch nicht mit der USt., die in D noch dazukommt. Diese beträgt lediglich 208,81€. Und ganz sicher auch nicht die erhöhten Transportkosten. Ob ich von China in die USA verschiffe oder nach Europa, macht keinen nennenswerten Unterschied!
Warum also ein Aufschlag von fast 800 € für Europa?
