Dez 22: Produktion des 27" "iMac Pro" mit Apple Silicon läuft offenbar langsam an
Während Apple hinter den Kulissen offenbar zwei Varianten des Mac Pro, einen mit Intel-Chip und einen mit Apple Silicon vorbereitet, rückt langsam aber sicher wohl auch die Vorstellung eines neuen 27" iMac, mutmaßlich unter dem Namen "iMac Pro" mit mini-LED Display näher. Wie die DigiTimes berichtet, haben Apples Zulieferer damit begonnen, Bauteile für das Gerät in begrenzter Stückzahl an die Fertigungspartner auszuliefern. Dies deutet darauf hin, dass die Massenproduktion in Kürze beginnen könnte. Erwartet wird, dass Apple das Gerät auf einem März-Event präsentiert und damit exakt ein Jahr nach Vorstellung des aktuellen 24" M1 iMac. Sehr wahrscheinlich wird das Display des neuen Geräts dann auch Apples ProMotion-Technologie für variable Bildwiederholraten bis zu 120Hz unterstützen.

Ja schon weil das Risiko für eine Sicherheitslücke in einem OS, das nicht mehr gepatched wird von Jahr zu Jahr steigt. Daher wäre es schon angebracht über einen Aktualisierung der HW nachzudenken.
